Also known as "The Foresters", Letherington are one of the stronger premier division
teams.
It boasts no real star players, but has a strong unified team. Damien Welsch
leads the team from the forward line, with Robert Tepani in the mdifield and Calvin
Oste keeping goals from getting through.
Drawing their support from the forestry city and its large surrounding rural
population, Letherington CF has one of the strongest support bases in the country.
As such, it has one of the best training facilities at the Ochra Farm Products
Stadium, and the team are keen on some of the latest sports medicine techniques.
The team is performing very well this year, and ended last year in seventh
position. And "CF" in their name stands for "County Football", a regional competition
from which the team hails.
