UFA-registered teams: Waitaki Dragons
The Waitaki Dragons are the team of the northern-most part of the country, a farming
district with a strong support of football. The club is one of the latest additions
to the UFA, joining only this year in the second division.
Waitaki are named after the city of the same name, and draw their members and
supporters from the same city and region. With the trio of star midfielders —
from left to right Louis Koenraadt, Geoff Tilley, Robert Ballard — the team
can dominate the field against the best of them.
Yet, the club is financially one of the smallest in the competition.
