UFA-registered teams
The Shecker Diamonds are the country's fourth most popular (by membership) and fourth
wealthiest team, but are experiencing poor performance and are recovering from a
bad, debt-laden nineties.
Shecker have no real star players, having given most away as crushing debts
ate their ability to pay them, Shecker are very popular yet the poorest performing
team in the premier division, and were lucky to escape relegation last year.
Their popularity is from being the only major team in the city of 2.1 million
people and being a solidly working-class team in a city of car-makers and ship
builders. And while they have SIPA championships under their belt, Shecker are yet
to demonstrate to the newly independent Utanians that they are a force to be
reckoned with.
